وجدد جلالته، خلال الاتصال الذي تلقاه، إدانة الاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها أراضي المملكة، مؤكدا استمرار الأردن باتخاذ جميع الإجراءات للحفاظ على أمنه واستقراره وسلامة مواطنيه.

من جانبه، أعرب الرئيس السيسي عن تضامن مصر الكامل مع الأردن ومساندته، مشيرا إلى رفض بلاده وإدانتها البالغة للتعدي على سيادة وأمن واستقرار الدول العربية.

وشدد الزعيمان على ضرورة احترام سيادة الدول والاحتكام للحوار والقنوات الدبلوماسية لحل التوترات، مؤكدا جلالته ضرورة تكثيف الجهود العربية لحشد موقف دولي فاعل يسهم في خفض التصعيد القائم.
