أكد مفوض الأمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق الإنسان فولكر تورك، الخميس، أن إجراءات إسرائيل في الضفة الغربية المحتلة وفي قطاع غزة، ومن بينها العمليات العسكرية التي تؤدي إلى النزوح، تهدف إلى إحداث "تغيير ديموغرافي دائم".

وقال تورك في خطاب أمام مجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة في جنيف "يبدو أن الإجراءات الإسرائيلية مجتمعة تهدف إلى إحداث تغيير ديموغرافي دائم في غزة والضفة الغربية، ما يثير مخاوف من التطهير العرقي".

وأشار المسؤول الأممي خصوصا إلى العملية العسكرية الإسرائيلية المستمرة منذ عام في شمال الضفة الغربية والتي تسببت في نزوح 32 ألف فلسطيني.
