كشف الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الأربعاء، أن الولايات المتحدة تلقت أكثر من 80 مليون برميل من النفط من فنزويلا منذ إطاحة واشنطن برئيسها نيكولاس مادورو.

وقال ترامب في أول خطاب له عن حالة الاتحاد منذ توليه ولايته الرئاسية الثانية: "تلقينا للتو من صديقتنا وشريكتنا الجديدة فنزويلا، أكثر من 80 مليون برميل من النفط"، مضيفا "ارتفع إنتاج النفط الأميركي بأكثر من 600 ألف برميل يوميا".

وكان ترامب قد أمر باعتقال مادورو في كانون الثاني بتهم تهريب المخدرات وجرائم أخرى، ومنذ ذلك الحين خفف العقوبات النفطية المفروضة على كراكاس في محاولة لزيادة الإنتاج.
