توفي معتصم زكريا، لاعب نادي عمال المنصورة مواليد 2011، إثر حادث مأساوي أثناء مشاركته في توزيع وجبات إفطار الصائمين على أحد الطرق السريعة بمدينة المنصورة.

وأوضح شهود العيان أن اللاعب، المعروف بحسن خلقه وروحه الرياضية، تعرض لصدم سيارة مسرعة أثناء التوقف على الطريق، ما أدى إلى إصابته بكسور وجروح خطيرة نُقل على إثرها إلى المستشفى، لكنه لفظ أنفاسه الأخيرة أثناء أداء عمله الخيري، صائمًا.

ونعى الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم اللاعب في بيان رسمي، حيث أعرب عن بالغ الحزن والأسى، داعيًا الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويلهم أسرته الصبر والسلوان، مشيدًا بحسن خلقه ومحبته بين زملائه داخل وخارج النادي.
