قالت وكالة الجمارك وحماية الحدود الأميركية إنها ستوقف تحصيل الرسوم الجمركية المفروضة بموجب قانون سلطات الطوارئ الاقتصادية الدولية، الثلاثاء، بعد أكثر من ثلاثة أيام من إعلان المحكمة العليا الأميركية عدم قانونية هذه الرسوم.

وقالت الوكالة في رسالة إلى شركات الشحن عبر خدمة الرسائل الخاصة بأنظمة الشحن التابعة لها إنها ستوقف جميع رموز الرسوم الجمركية المرتبطة بأوامر الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب السابقة المتعقلة بقانون سلطات الطوارئ الاقتصادية الدولية اعتبارا من الثلاثاء.

ويتزامن وقف تحصيل الرسوم بموجب قانون سلطات الطوارئ الاقتصادية مع فرض ترامب رسوم جمركية عالمية جديدة بنسبة 15% بموجب سلطة قانونية مختلفة لتحل محل تلك التي ألغتها المحكمة العليا الجمعة.
