أشعل فريق الحسين صراع المنافسة على صدارة دوري المحترفين لكرة القدم بفوزه على ضيفه الوحدات ٢/٠، في لقاء جرى مساء السبت على ستاد الحسن بإربد في ختام الأسبوع السادس عشر من البطولة.

الحسين رفع رصيده إلى ٣٤ نقطة وتقاسم الصدارة مع جاره الرمثا ولديه لقاء مؤجل مع الفيصلي، فيما تجمد رصيد الوحدات عند (٣٠) وبقي في المركز الرابع.

سجل هدفي الحسين محترفه الإنجليزي آشلي كوفي(٣٣) ومحمد أبو غوش (٨١).

وفي باقي مباريات الأسبوع الذي إنطلق الخميس فاز الجزيرة على السلط ٤/٠، والفيصلي على البقعة ٣/١، وتعادل الرمثا مع الأهلي ٢-٢، وشباب الأردن مع السرحان٠/٠.

ووفق ذلك أصبح رصيد باقي الفرق على النحو التالي، الرمثا(٣٤) نقطة، الفيصلي (٣٣ )، السلط( ١٩)، الجزيرة (١٨)، البقعة (١٨)، شباب الأردن (١٤)، الأهلي( ١١)، السرحان (٥).
