أعلنت الشرطة البريطانية الإفراج عن الأمير السابق أندرو مساء الخميس بعدما أمضى ساعات رهن الاحتجاز للاشتباه في ارتكابه "مخالفات أثناء تأدية مهامه الرسمية" على خلفية فضيحة جيفري إبستين.

وأوضحت الشرطة أنه جرى الإفراج عن شقيق الملك تشارلز الثالث "مع إبقائه على ذمة التحقيق"، فيما نشرت هيئة "بي بي سي" ووسائل إعلام بريطانية صورة له بدا فيها منهكا على المقعد الخلفي لسيارة بعد حلول الظلام.

وكانت شرطة تايمز فالي قد أوقفته قرابة الساعة الثامنة صباحا في منزله الجديد في عقار ساندرينغهام الملكي في شرق إنكلترا.
