أسفر انهيار مبنى في مدينة كراتشي الباكستانية جراء انفجار وقع الخميس عن مقتل 16 شخصا على الأقل بينهم أطفال، بينما كانت العائلات تُعدّ السحور خلال شهر رمضان، وفق ما أفادت فرق الإسعاف.

وقال المتحدث باسم وكالة الإسعاف الإقليمية حسن خان "لقي 16 شخصا بينهم نساء وأطفال حتفهم، وأصيب 13 آخرون"، مشيرا إلى أن المبنى المكون من ثلاث طبقات والواقع في ضاحية مكتظة بالسكان انهار لسبب "مجهول".

وقال مسؤول في البلدية "يبدو أنّ انفجارا وقع بسبب الغاز، لكنّ التحقيق سيُحدد ملابسات الحادث".
