حذّرت مسؤولة أممية رفيعة المستوى الأربعاء من أن الخطوات التي تتخذها إسرائيل لتشديد سيطرتها على مناطق الضفة الغربية التي يُفترض أن تخضع إداريا للسلطة الفلسطينية ترقى إلى "ضمّ تدريجي بحكم الأمر الواقع".

وقالت وكيلة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة روزماري ديكارلو خلال اجتماع لمجلس الأمن الدولي حول القضية الفلسطينية "إننا نشهد ضمّا تدريجيا بحكم الأمر الواقع للضفة الغربية، حيث تُغيّر الخطوات الإسرائيلية الأحادية الجانب المشهد تدريجيا".
