انخفضت أسعار النفط الأربعاء مع إحراز تقدم في المحادثات بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، مما زاد الآمال في تهدئة التوتر بين البلدين وقلل من مخاطر انقطاع الإمدادات من طهران.

وتراجعت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت ثلاثة سنتات أو 0.04% إلى 67.39 دولارا للبرميل بحلول الساعة 0139 بتوقيت غرينتش، بينما خسر خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأميركي خمسة سنتات أو 0.08% إلى 62.28 دولارا. ويجري تداول كلا الخامين قرب أدنى مستوياتهما في أسبوعين.
