باكو وواشنطن توقعان ميثاق شراكة استراتيجية

وقعت أذربيجان والولايات المتحدة، الثلاثاء، على ميثاق شراكة استراتيجية بين حكومتي البلدين.

جاء ذلك في إطار زيارة أجراها نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جيه دي فانس إلى العاصمة باكو، التقى خلالها الرئيس الأذربيجاني إلهام علييف.

وعقب لقائه بعلييف وتوقيعه على "ميثاق الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين حكومة جمهورية أذربيجان وحكومة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية"، قال فانس في كلمة ألقاها، إن التعاون سيعود بالفائدة على البلدين وعلى المنطقة ككل.

وأوضح أن هذه "الشراكة" ستتيح لأرباب العمل في الولايات المتحدة الوصول إلى مزيد من الأسواق، وتسهم في بناء عالم أفضل يقوم على التجارة بدل الصراعات".

وأكد فانس أن اتفاقية الشراكة الاستراتيجية الموقعة جعلت العلاقات بين البلدين دائمة ورسمية.

وأضاف أن الشراكة بين الولايات المتحدة وأذربيجان ستقود إلى مزيد من السلام والازدهار في المنطقة.
