قال البيت الأبيض الجمعة إن أحد موظفيه نشر "من طريق الخطأ" الفيديو العنصري المسيء لباراك أوباما وزوجته ميشيل والذي يصورهما على هيئة قردين في حساب الرئيس دونالد ترامب على منصته للتواصل الاجتماعي، وأعلن حذف المنشور.

وجاء في تصريح أدلى به مسؤول في البيت الأبيض لوكالة فرانس برس أن الفيديو "نشره موظف في البيت الأبيض من طريق الخطأ. وقد حُذف". وكانت المتحدثة باسم ترامب كارولاين ليفيت وصفت السخط الذي أثاره المنشور بأنه "غضب مصطنع".
