أعلنت الولايات المتحدة الجمعة فرض عقوبات جديدة للحد من صادرات النفط الإيرانية تشمل استهداف 14 سفينة، وذلك بعد لحظات من اختتام الطرفين جولة من المحادثات غير المباشرة في سلطنة عُمان.

وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الأميركية تومي بيغوت في بيان إن الرئيس دونالد ترامب "ملتزم بتقليص صادرات النظام الإيراني من النفط والبتروكيماويات غير المشروعة لفي إطار حملة الضغط القصوى التي تنتهجها الإدارة" الأميركية.
