اتهم وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف كييف بالوقوف خلف محاولة اغتيال ضابط رفيع المستوى في الجيش الجمعة في موسكو، والسعي من خلال ذلك لتقويض المباحثات الجارية بوساطة أميركية، للتوصل إلى حل للنزاع في أوكرانيا.

وقال لافروف إن "هذا العمل الإرهابي يؤكد مرة جديدة توجه نظام (الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير) زيلينسكي نحو استفزازات متواصلة، تهدف إلى إفشال مسار المفاوضات".

وكان جنرال في الجيش تعرّض لإطلاق نار في مبنى سكني في العاصمة الروسية صباح الجمعة ونُقل إلى المستشفى، بحسب ما أفادت لجنة التحقيقات الروسية التي تتولى الجرائم الكبرى.
