أدى عشرات آلاف المصلين صلاة الجمعة في المسجد الأقصى المبارك-الحرم القدسي الشريف، رغم سياسة الاعتقالات والإبعادات عنه التي نفذتها قوات الاحتلال بحق المقدسيين، وحصار المدينة والمسجد.

وفرضت قوات الاحتلال حصارًا حول مدينة القدس، عبر الحواجز العسكرية والحديدية التي نصبتها في محيط البلدة القديمة والمسجد الأقصى، وانتشرت بكثافة في شوارع وأحياء المدينة، وفق وسائل إعلام فلسطينية.

وأوقفت قوات الاحتلال العشرات من المصلين وخاصة الشبان، وحررت هوياتهم وفحصتها، ومنعت آخرين من الوصول إلى الأقصى لأداء صلاة الجمعة.
