دعا الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الثلاثاء، الأميركيين إلى تخطي فضيحة جيفري ابستين، مشددا على أن ملايين الوثائق التي تم نشرها حديثا قد برأته.

وقال للصحافيين في البيت الأبيض "لم يكشف عن أي شيء يخصني سوى أنها كانت مؤامرة ضدي، فعليا، من قبل ابستين وآخرين. لكنني أعتقد أن الوقت قد حان الآن ربما كي تنصرف البلاد إلى قضايا أخرى، مثل الرعاية الصحية أو أي قضية تهم الناس".
