استقبل جلالة الملك عبدﷲ الثاني، الثلاثاء، المفوض السامي للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين برهم صالح.

وهنأ جلالة الملك، المفوض السامي بمناسبة انتخابه لمنصبه الجديد، متمنيا له التوفيق.

وتناول اللقاء سبل توسيع التعاون بين الأردن والمفوضية، إذ أكد جلالته أهمية الاستمرار بدعم المجتمعات المستضيفة للاجئين.

ومن جانبه، أعرب المفوض السامي عن تقديره لجهود الأردن في استضافة اللاجئين وتوفير الخدمات الأساسية لهم.

كما جرى بحث أبرز المستجدات في المنطقة، مع التأكيد على أهمية تسهيل آليات العودة الآمنة والطوعية للاجئين السوريين.

وحضر اللقاء نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي، ومدير مكتب جلالة الملك، علاء البطاينة، والوفد المرافق للضيف.
