نددت فنزويلا الجمعة بالإجراءات الأميركية "العقابية" بحق حليفتها كوبا، بعد تهديد واشنطن بفرض رسوم جمركية على الدول التي توفر شحنات من النفط لهافانا.

واعتبرت وزارة خارجية الفنزويلية أن الأمر التنفيذي الذي وقعه الرئيس دونالد ترامب الخميس هو بمثابة "إجراءات عقابية ضد الدول التي تقرر الحفاظ على علاقات تجارية مشروعة مع جمهورية كوبا".

وأضافت في بيان أن فنزويلا التي أطاحت عملية أميركية برئيسها نيكولاس مادورو في الثالث من كانون الثاني/يناير "تعرب عن تضامنها مع الشعب الكوبي"، مطالِبة "المجتمع الدولي باتخاذ إجراءات جماعية لمعالجة التداعيات الإنسانية الناجمة عن اعتداءات من هذا النوع".
