قرعت كنائس مدينة العقبة، اليوم، أجراسها ابتهاجًا بعيد ميلاد جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني ابن الحسين، في مشهد وطني يجسّد معاني المحبة والوحدة بين أبناء الوطن الواحد.

وشهدت المناسبة قرع أجراس كنيستي القديس نيقولاوس للروم الأرثوذكس والقديس يوحنا المعمدان للروم الكاثوليك، تعبيرًا عن الفرح والاعتزاز بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الغالية، وتأكيدًا على عمق الانتماء والولاء للقيادة الهاشمية، وما تمثّله من رمز للوحدة والتآخي بين مكوّنات المجتمع الأردني
