هوى الذهب 4%، الخميس مع جني المستثمرين الأرباح بعد الارتفاع إلى مستويات غير مسبوقة، إلا أن الأسعار تتجه لتسجيل أفضل أداء شهري منذ ثمانينيات القرن الماضي وسط ضبابية اقتصادية وجيوسياسية.

وهبط سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 4.6% إلى 5149.99 دولار للأوقية بعد أن لامس في وقت سابق 5594.82 دولار.

ونزلت العقود الأميركية الآجلة للذهب تسليم فبراير شباط 2.8% إلى 5165.20 دولار.

وقال ديفيد ميجر مدير تداول المعادن لدى هاي ريدج فيوتشرز "نشهد موجات بيع كبيرة بعد أن سجلت المعادن النفيسة في الآونة الأخيرة أعلى مستوياتها على الإطلاق".

ومع ذلك، لا تزال أسعار الذهب في المعاملات الفورية مرتفعة 19% لهذا الشهر و3.6% هذا الأسبوع.
