قال مسؤول أميركي الخميس إن البحرية الأميركية أرسلت سفينة حربية إضافية إلى الشرق الأوسط وسط تعزيزات عسكرية كبيرة في المنطقة وتصاعد التوتر.

وذكر المسؤول، الذي تحدث شريطة عدم الكشف عن هويته، أن المدمرة ديلبرت دي. بلاك دخلت المنطقة خلال الثماني والأربعين ساعة الماضية.

ويرتفع بذلك عدد المدمرات في الشرق الأوسط إلى ست، إلى جانب حاملة طائرات وثلاث سفن قتالية أخرى. وكانت شبكة سي.بي.إس نيوز أول من أوردت نبأ إرسال السفينة الحربية الإضافية إلى المنطقة.
