تجاوز الذهب الأربعاء مستوى 5200 دولار للمرة الأولى، بعد ارتفاعه بأكثر من 3% الثلاثاء، مع تراجع العملة الأميركية إلى أدنى مستوى في نحو أربع سنوات وسط استمرار المخاوف الجيوسياسية وقبل قرار مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأميركي) بشأن السياسة النقدية.

وقفز الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 1.1% إلى 5243.58 دولار للأوقية (الأونصة)، بحلول الساعة 0314 بتوقيت غرينتش، بعد أن صعد إلى مستوى قياسي بلغ 5247.21 دولار في وقت سابق، وارتفع بأكثر من 20% منذ بداية العام.

وزادت العقود الأميركية الآجلة للذهب تسليم شباط 3.1% إلى 5237.70 دولار للأوقية.
