شارك سمو الأمير فيصل بن الحسين، رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية الأردنية، اليوم الاثنين، في اجتماع الجمعية العمومية السادس والأربعين للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي، الذي استضافته العاصمة الأوزبكية طشقند.

وشهد اجتماع الجمعية العمومية انتخاب الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيسًا للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي.

وسيتولى الشيخ جوعان رئاسة المجلس للفترة المتبقية من الولاية الحالية، خلفًا لرئيس المجلس السابق، راجا راندير سينغ، الذي تنحى عن منصبه لأسباب صحية.

وهنأ سمو الأمير فيصل، الشيخ جوعان بتوليه رئاسة المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي، متمنيًا له التوفيق في خدمة الحركة الأولمبية الآسيوية.

وحضر سموه اللقاء الذي عقده رئيس جمهورية أوزبكستان شوكت ميرضيائيف، مع المشاركين في اجتماعات المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي، على هامش انعقاد الجمعية العمومية للمجلس.
