قال المحلل الرياضي أمجد المجالي إن المدير الفني للمنتخب الوطني جمال السلامي تلقى، وتحديدا بعد نهائي كأس العرب، ثلاثة عروض عربية مغرية لتولي مهام تدريبية خلال الفترة المقبلة.

وأوضح أن السلامي فضّل الاستمرار في مهمته الحالية، متمسكا بالمشروع الفني مع المنتخب الوطني، ومؤكدا التزامه بالبقاء حتى نهاية المشروع المقرر له ثلاث سنوات قادمة على الأقل.

وجاء الجدل الذي أثير مؤخرا حول مستقبل السلامي، عقب مزحة إعلامية أطلقها المذيع محمد سعدون الكواري عبر قنوات الـ beIN Sports بشأن وجود مفاوضات مع نادي قطر، والتي تحولت إلى حديث على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، قبل أن يتضح أنها جاءت في إطار الدعابة فقط.
