أكد الأمين العام لحلف شمال الأطلسي مارك روته ورئيسة الوزراء الدنماركية ميته فريدريكسن الجمعة الاتفاق على ضرورة أن يعزز الحلف جهوده لضمان أمن الدائرة القطبية الشمالية وذلك بعد تراجع الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب عن التهديد بضم غرينلاند.

وكتب روته على موقع "إكس" بعد لقائه فريدريكسن في بروكسل "نعمل معا لضمان أمن وسلامة جميع دول الناتو، وسنبني على تعاوننا لتعزيز الردع والدفاع في الدائرة القطبية الشمالية".
