نفذت مديرية الأمن العام، حملة بيئية واسعة لتنظيف جوف البحر في محافظة العقبة، وذلك في إطار جهودها المستمرة للحفاظ على البيئة البحرية، وتعزيز الوعي البيئي لدى المواطنين وزوار المحافظة.

وشملت الحملة جولات ميدانية تحت الماء لتنظيف قاع البحر من المخلفات البحرية الضارة، والنفايات، من خلال غطاسي الدفاع المدني ، إلى جانب مرتبات الإدارة الملكية لحماية البيئة.

يُشار إلى أن مديرية الأمن العام ماضية في تنفيذ المبادرات والحملات البيئية، والهادفة إلى رفع مستوى الوعي البيئي لدى أفراد المجتمع، والحفاظ على نظافة وسلامة الأماكن العامة والمواقع السياحية والتنزهية في مختلف محافظات المملكة.
