أعلن الرئيس دونالد ترامب الأربعاء أنه توصل إلى إطار عمل لاتفاق بشأن غرينلاند عقب اجتماعه مع الأمين العام لحلف شمال الأطلسي مارك روته، وسيتراجع تاليا عن فرض رسوم جمركية على عدد من حلفائه الأوروبيين.

وقال ترامب في منشور على منصته تروث سوشال لم يحدد فيه تفاصيل إطار العمل "لقد وضعنا إطار عمل لاتفاق مقبل بشأن غرينلاند، بل منطقة القطب الشمالي برمتها"، مضيفا "بناء على هذا التفاهم، لن أفرض الرسوم الجمركية التي كان من المقرر أن تدخل حيز التنفيذ في الأول من شباط/فبراير".
