لقاح جديد يبشر بنتائج إيجابية في معالجة سرطان الجلد

أظهر لقاح (mRNA) الذي تم تطويره من شركتي "موديرنا" و"ميرك" فوائد دائمة وطويلة الأمد لمرضى سرطان الجلد.

ووفقا لنائب الرئيس الأول في شركة "موديرنا" كايل هولن، فإن اللقاح التجريبي أظهر نتائج واعدة بعد متابعة استمرت 5 أعوام في التجارب السريرية، إذ أظهرت النتائج تأثيرات قوية ودائمة مضادة للأورام، وفوائد على صعيد البقاء على قيد الحياة لدى المرضى المصابين بالميلانوما المتقدمة.

وأضاف، إن العلاج الذي ما يزال في المرحلة الثانية من التجربة السريرية ينتظر نتائج المرحلة النهائية من الاختبارات السريرية، لتأكيد فوائده على عدد أكبر من المرضى.
