أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر الاثنين، على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة، محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة إلكترونية متطورة.

وجرى رصدها من قبل وحدات حرس الحدود والتعامل معها وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
