قال الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام إنّه أُسعف للمستشفى مساء اليوم طفلتان تبلغان من العمر (سنة والأخرى خمس سنوات ) ووالدهما نتيجة تعرّضهم للاختناق إثر استنشاقهم للغازات المنبعثة من (منقل حطب) في مدينة معان.

وتابع الناطق الإعلامي أنّ الطفلتين ما لبثتا أنْ فارقتا الحياة، وما زال والدهما قيد العلاج بحالة متوسطة.

وتجدّد مديرية الأمن العام إهابتها للإخوة المواطنين إلى ضرورة الاستخدام الآمن لوسائل التدفئة وتهوية المنزل بين الحين والآخر، وعدم ترك المدفأة مشتعلة في أثناء النوم وتفقّد الخراطيم الواصلة ما بين الأسطوانة وجسم المدفأة وعدم استخدام مواقد الفحم كوسيلة تدفئة.
