توفي شاب يبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا في الكرك، جراء اختناقه بغاز أول أكسيد الكربون المنبعث من المدفأة.

وتم نقل جثمان المتوفى إلى مركز الطب الشرعي إقليم الجنوب في الكرك، حيث تم تشكيل لجنة من أطباء المركز للكشف عليه وتحديد سبب الوفاة، الذي تبين أنه اختناق بغاز أول أكسيد الكربون.

وأكدت الجهات المعنية أهمية التزام المواطنين بعدم ترك المدافئ مشتعلة أثناء النوم، والانتباه عند استخدام أجهزة تسخين المياه العاملة بالغاز لأغراض الاستحمام، مشيرة إلى تكرار وقوع حوادث وفاة نتيجة الإهمال في هذه الأجهزة.
