أظهرت وثيقة حقائق صادرة عن البيت الأبيض أن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب وقع الأربعاء إعلانا لمعالجة مخاوف الأمن القومي فيما يتعلق بواردات أشباه الموصلات، وفرض رسوما جمركية 25% على بعض رقائق الحوسبة المتقدمة، مثل (إتش200) التي تنتجها إنفيديا و(إم.آي325إكس) من إنتاج (إيه.إم.دي).

وجاء في الوثيقة أن هذه الرسوم لن تنطبق على الرقائق التي يتم استيرادها لسلاسل توريد التكنولوجيا الأميركية ولتعزيز القدرة التصنيعية المحلية لمشتقات أشباه الموصلات.

وأوضحت الوثيقة أن ترامب قد يفرض في المستقبل القريب رسوما جمركية أوسع نطاقا على واردات أشباه الموصلات والمنتجات المشتقة منها لتحفيز التصنيع المحلي.
