اعتمد نادي اتحاد أبناء العقبة قائمة فريقه المشارك في بطولة المحبة العربية للأندية والأكاديميات لكرة القدم للفئات العمرية، والتي ستقام في السعودية خلال الفترة من 14 ولغاية 18 الجاري بالمدينة المنورة.

وأشار النادي إلى أن هذه المشاركة تأتي ضمن خطته لصقل المواهب ورفع مستوى اللاعبين، واكتساب خبرات جديدة من خلال الاحتكاك مع نخبة من الأندية والأكاديميات العربية، في أجواء تنافسية، إلى جانب الحرص على التواجد ضمن قائمة الفرق المشاركة لما تحمله البطولة من أهداف سامية في تعزيز الروابط الرياضية والأخوية بين الأندية والأكاديميات العربية.

من جانب آخر، استضاف النادي فرق فلسطينية من رام الله وبير زيت لمواليد 2012-2013 بلقاءات ودية أقيمت على ملعب المدرسة العلمية النموذجية.
