أعرب الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش الأحد عن "صدمته" إزاء تقارير بقمع محتجّين بعنف في إيران، ودعا السلطات إلى ضبط النفس.

وأعرب ستيفان دوجاريك المتحدث باسم غوتيريش في بيان عن "صدمة" الأمين العام إزاء تقارير تفيد بـ"ممارسة العنف واستخدام السلطات الإيرانية المفرط للقوة ضد محتجين"، داعيا إلى "ممارسة أقصى درجات ضبط النفس والامتناع عن الاستخدام غير الضروري أو المفرط للقوة".
