أفادت شبكة رصد الزلازل في لبنان، فجر الأحد عن تسجيل هزّة أرضية بلغت قوتها 3.9 درجة على مقياس ريختر، ضربت شرق البحر المتوسط قبالة السواحل اللبنانية عند منتصف الليل.

وذكرت الشبكة أن الزلزال وقع على عمق يُقدّر بنحو 35 كيلومترًا، مما جعله محسوسًا في بيروت وعدد من المناطق اللبنانية.

وأوضحت أن ضحالة عمق الهزّة أسهمت في شعور السكان بها بشكل أوضح مقارنةً بزلازل أعمق بالقوة نفسها، من دون تسجيل أي أضرار مادية أو إصابات.
