تصادف اليوم الخميس الذكرى السنوية الـثامنة والعشرون لوفاة الشيخ إسليم سلمان القرالة أحد شيوخ محافظة الكرك البارزين على المستوى العشائري.

واشتهر القرالة بإصلاح ذات البين،وله اسهاماته البارزة في القضاء العشائري في الأردن، وعلى الصعيد السياسي انتخب المرحوم القرالة والمولود في بلدة كثربا عام 1918 عضواً في الاتحاد الوطني العربي للضفتين ليكون ممثلاً للكرك عام 1971.

وساهم المرحوم القرالة في تطوير الزراعة في وادي الأردن وإدخال الزراعات الحديثة في الأغوار الجنوبية.

وتخليداً لذكراه أطلقت أمانة عمان الكبرى اسم الراحل القرالة على أحد شوارع العاصمة.
