فتحت بورصة نيويورك على ارتفاع الاثنين بعد إعلان البيت الأبيض نيته السماح لشركات النفط الأميركية باستغلال احتياطيات النفط الخام الهائلة في فنزويلا، إثر اعتقال رئيسها نيكولاس مادورو.

وفي بداية التداولات في وول ستريت، ارتفع مؤشر داو جونز بنسبة 0,18%، ومؤشر ناسداك بنسبة 0,92%، ومؤشر ستاندرد آند بورز 500 الأوسع نطاقا بنسبة 0,53%.
