استبعد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب السبت أن تتولى زعيمة المعارضة الفنزويلية الحائزة نوبل للسلام ماريا كورينا ماتشادو إدارة بلادها لفترة انتقالية بعد اعتقال نيكولاس مادورو، قائلا إن واشنطن تتعاون مع نائبة الأخير.

وقال ترامب في مؤتمر صحافي "أعتقد أنه سيكون من الصعب للغاية عليها أن تكون القائدة. فهي لا تحظى بالدعم أو الاحترام داخل البلاد". أضاف "إنها امرأة لطيفة للغاية، لكنها لا تحظى بالاحترام".
