قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب إن الولايات المتحدة ستسيطر على فنزويلا حتى إجراء عملية انتقالية، مؤكدًا أنها نفذت هجومًا لم يشهده العالم منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية.

وأضاف ترامب خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده في البيت الأبيض بشأن الأحداث الأخيرة في فنزويلا: "أحضرنا مادورو وزوجته لتقديمهما إلى العدالة."

وبين ترامب أن القوات الأميركية استهدفت حصنًا عسكريًا محصنًا للقبض على مادورو وتقديمه للعدالة.

وأوضح أن الولايات المتحدة أصبحت اليوم الدولة الأكثر احترامًا في العالم.

وأكد ترامب أن الجيش الأميركي هو الأقوى في العالم، وأن الولايات المتحدة قضت على 95% من المخدرات القادمة من فنزويلا.
