كشف الاتحاد الدولي للصحفيين اليوم الخميس، أن 128 صحفيًا قُتلوا في كل أنحاء العالم في العام 2025.

وقال أنطوني بيلانجي، الأمين العام للاتحاد الدولي للصحافيين لوكالة فرانس برس "إن هذا العدد، وهو أعلى مما كان عليه في العام 2024، ليس مجرد رقم، بل هو بمثابة إنذار أحمر عالمي بالنسبة إلى زملائنا".

وأعربت المنظمة عن قلقها بشكل خاص من الوضع في الأراضي الفلسطينية، حيث سجّلت مقتل 56 إعلاميًا خلال العام.

وقال بيلانجي "لم نشهد شيئًا مماثلاً من قبل: هذا العدد الكبير من القتلى في مثل هذا الوقت القصير، وفي مثل هذه المساحة الصغيرة".

كما قُتل صحافيون هذا العام في اليمن وأوكرانيا والسودان والبيرو والهند، فيما استنكر بيلانجي "الإفلات من العقاب" الذي يستفيد منه مرتكبو هذه الهجمات".

كما وأعرب الاتحاد عن قلقه إزاء عدد الصحفيين المسجونين في أنحاء العالم البالغ عددهم 533 شخصًا.
