كشفت مديرية الأمن العام عن انخفاض نسبة الوفيات الناتجة عن حوادث السير بنسبة 6.8% في عام 2025 مقارنةً بعام 2024، وذلك ضمن جهودها في مجال السلامة المرورية التي أثمرت عن استراتيجية مرورية شاملة نفذتها الإدارات المتخصصة.

وأكدت المديرية أنها كثفت جهودها الميدانية والرقابية للحد من الحوادث، وعززت من برامج التوعية، حيث تم عقد نحو 9 آلاف محاضرة توعوية، وتنفيذ 300 دورة تدريبية، إضافة إلى إطلاق حملات ومبادرات تهدف إلى رفع مستوى الوعي المروري بين مختلف فئات المجتمع.

واستعرضت مديرية الأمن العام، في بيان شامل، موجزا لأبرز ما أنجزته مختلف وحداتها وتشكيلاتها خلال العام 2025، في المجالات الأمنية والإنسانية والمجتمعية، مؤكدة استمرارها في أداء واجبها الوطني لحماية الأمن والاستقرار، وتقديم الخدمات للمواطنين والمقيمين بكفاءة واقتدار.
