أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر الثلاثاء على واجهتها محاولة تهريب كميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

وجرى التعامل معها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها من قبل قوات حرس الحدود بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
