قال الناطق الإعلامي باسم مديرية الأمن العام إنّ بلاغاً ورد لمديرية شرطة محافظة مأدبا والدفاع المدني هناك حول العثور على شخص أربعيني متوفى داخل منزله، حيث تم التحرك للمكان وجرى نقل الجثة للمركز الوطني للطبّ الشرعي لتحديد سبب الوفاة .

وأكّد الناطق الإعلامي انه يشتبه بتعرضه للاختناق جرّاء الاستخدام الخاطئ للمدافئ، بالرغم من التحذيرات العديدة والمتتالية عن خطورة الاستخدام الخاطئ للمدافئ وضرورة تفقدها وتهوية المنازل باستمرار لتجنّب ما يُعرّض حياتهم للخطر .
