أُدين رئيس الوزراء الماليزي السابق المسجون نجيب عبد الرزاق، الجمعة، بإساءة استخدام السلطة، وذلك في أكبر محاكمة حتى الآن في فضيحة الاحتيال التي بلغت قيمتها مليارات الدولارات في صندوق الاستثمار الحكومي (1إم.دي.بي).

واتُهم نجيب بأربع تهم بالفساد و21 تهمة بغسل الأموال لتلقيه تحويلات غير قانونية بقرابة 2.2 مليار رينجت (544.15 مليون دولار) من صندوق1 إم.دي.بي، وينفي باستمرار ارتكاب أي مخالفات.
