أفادت وكالة تاس الروسية، نقلًا عن المركز الروسي للأرصاد الجوية، بأن جمهورية ساخا (ياقوتيا) أصبحت أبرد منطقة على وجه الأرض خلال الساعات الأربع والعشرين الماضية.

وأوضح خبراء الأرصاد الجوية أن منطقة ياقوتيا شهدت موجة برد غير معتادة، سجلت خلالها، يوم 22 ديسمبر الجاري، أدنى درجات الحرارة على سطح الأرض خلال تلك الفترة.

وسجلت أدنى درجة حرارة في مدينة بوكروفسك، حيث بلغت 51.7 درجة مئوية تحت الصفر، فيما وصلت درجة الحرارة في بلدة سوخانا إلى 49.4 درجة مئوية تحت الصفر، وسجلت في بلدة كريست خالجاي نحو 48.7 درجة مئوية تحت الصفر.

وفي المقابل، سجلت أعلى درجات الحرارة في العالم في بلدة تلفير الأسترالية، حيث بلغت 44.1 درجة مئوية، بينما سجل مطار سيدني درجة حرارة وصلت إلى 42.6 درجة مئوية، وبلغت في مدينة أبينغتون بجمهورية جنوب إفريقيا 39.2 درجة مئوية.
