تأهل نادي ارسنال الى نصف نهائي كاس الاتحاد الانكليزي لكرة القدم " كاس كاراباو" بعد فوزه على كريستال بالاس بركلات الترجيح مع انتهاء الوقت الاصلي للمباراة بالتعادل بهدف لكل فريق.

وكان ارسنال استفاد من خطأ ليهز شباك كريستال عن طريق لاعبه ماكسينس لاكروا عند الدقيقة 80، الا ان الضيوف تمكنوا من معادلة الارقام عند الدقيقة 5 من الوقت البدل عن ضائع من عمر الشوط الثاني عن طريق ماكي غوي، ليحتكم بعدها الفريقان لركلات الترجيح، حيث سدد الفريقان 8 تسديدات اضاع لاعل كريستال لاكروا تسديدته معلناً فوز المدفعجية وتأهله لمواجهة تشيلسي.
