نددت روسيا والصين أمام مجلس الأمن الدولي الثلاثاء، بالضغوط العسكرية والاقتصادية التي تمارسها الولايات المتحدة على فنزويلا، ووصفتها موسكو بأنها "تصرفات غير مسؤولة"، فيما اعتبرتها بكين "ترهيبا".

وردّ السفير الأميركي مايك والتز خلال الجلسة الطارئة التي طلبتها فنزويلا بدعم من روسيا والصين، قائلا إن "الولايات المتحدة ستفعل كل ما في وسعها لحماية منطقتنا، وحدودنا، والشعب الأميركي".
