قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الاثنين، إنه سيكون من "الحكمة" أن يتنحى الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو عن منصبه.

وردا على سؤال صحفيين في منزله بولاية فلوريدا عما إذا كانت تهديدات واشنطن لكراكاس تهدف إلى إنهاء رئاسة مادورو المستمرة منذ 12 عاما، قال ترامب "الأمر متروك له ليقرر ما يريد فعله. أعتقد أنه سيكون من الحكمة" أن يتنحى.

وفي وقت سابق، قالت وزيرة الأمن الداخلي الأميركية كريستي نويم الاثنين إن على الرئيس الفنزويلي "الرحيل"، في واحد من أوضح المؤشرات حتى الآن على أن واشنطن تسعى إلى تغيير القيادة في كراكاس.
