حقق اللاعب محمد القطب المركز الثاني وحل وصيفًا في بطولة النخبة الخامسة للتنس التي استضافتها البحرين، بعد خسارته في المباراة النهائية أمام اللاعب التونسي عزيز واقع بمجموعتين دون مقابل.

وقدّم القطب أداءً تنافسيًا لافتًا في النهائي، خاصة في المجموعة الأولى التي امتدت حتى شوط كسر التعادل قبل أن يحسمها واقع بنتيجة 7–6، فيما انتهت المجموعة الثانية 6–2 لصالح اللاعب التونسي.

وفي ختام البطولة، قام رئيس الاتحاد العربي للتنس الشيخ أحمد الجابر الصباح بتتويج الفائزين، وسط إشادة بالمستوى الفني للبطولة والمشاركة الأردنية التي أكدت حضور التنس الأردني على الساحة العربية، ومواصلة محمد القطب تقديم مستويات مشرفة في البطولات الإقليمية.
