أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية السبت على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولة تهريب كميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة محملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

ووفق بيان القوات المسلحة، جرى التعامل معها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها من قبل قوات حرس الحدود بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
